Change management is an issue everywhere. We call in trainers and specialists and work hard to change people's minds and get them on board.
One of my leaders thought otherwise, and when somebody was against change, she would just say this to the person with the kindest voice:
Most people weren't born to stand out or challenge the status quo, which is ok. But if you are lucky enough to be in the presence of one, you should go along on the journey, you might find it exciting.
She never had to convince anybody to buy into any change initiative. These two sentences always brought people on board.
As somebody said, offer people a product or service (when you sell) that they feel stupid refusing it.
Same with change, explain to people why change must happen in a way that they feel stupid not going along with it. That must be at the core of your stakeholder buy-in.
